DESCRIPTION

Columbia's Light Liquid Paraffin/White Mineral Oil is suitable for Pharmaceutical, Cosmetics & Food industries for direct & indirect food contact.

PROPERTIES

For specific uses these oils must be:
● Colourless
● Odourless
● Tasteless
● Conforming to the standards of pharmaceutical purity I.P., B.P. & U.S.P.
● Conforming to the standards of oils in contact with edible substances
They are therefore subjected to a higher refinement so as to be able to conform to particular specifications, (different specifications) in different countries and the standard FDA (Food & Drugs Administration U.S.A.)

APPLICATIONS

Chemical Industry

● Inert oils for the fabrication of metallic hydrides and catalysts
● Absorbent oils (e.g. in the extraction of the natural essence of perfumeries, the impregnated paper of white oil is used.)

Cosmetic Industry

● Preparation of solid and liquid brilliantine
● Preparation of detergent creams, cold creams and beauty lotions
● Preparation of hydrated creams
● Preparation of bronzed oils
● Preparation of oil for children's hygiene
● Preparation of make-up products

Pharmaceutical Industry

● Anti-foaming for the production of penicillin
● Internal lubricants as laxatives
● Base for ointments and emollients
● Used in medical spray

Packaging Industry for edible products

● Components for the lubricants of the tin band intended to be used for the tinned food
● Oiling of the cart and cartons for fruits and vegetables

Plastic Material Industry
